FAQ

Common questions answered...

What size is a website photo delivered at?

A standard website still is delivered at a resolution 250x250 pixels. If you require a different resolution simply let us know prior to the photography shoot so that we can deliver a file to you sized and ready for use.

What size is a 360 degree product photo delivered at?

These are delivered at a resolution of 600x600 pixels. If a different size is required, this can be accomodated but a bespoke file will have to be produced at additional expense.

What size is a high resolution photo delivered at?

Usually these are produced at a resolution approximately 1600x1600 pixels in size. Depending on what you intend to use the image for and what size it will ultimately be printed, different sizes can be accommodate. Please let us know prior to the photography shoot to make sure we are aware of any special requirements. In some circumstances there may be additional costs required to accomodate the resolution you require.

How many photos do you have to take for each 360 degree product photograph?

In total we take 24 images of each product. This is the best level we have found. Any less and the object will appear to jerk around as it is rotated, anymore and the file will start to take too long to download ultimately resulting in a poor website visitor experience.

How much does it cost for the delivery of the products back to me?

It depends on the size and weight of the product and also any special insurance requirements you may have. In all cases we simply invoice you the shipping charges at cost. Most customers prefer to arrange their own shipping to and from our studio through their own preferred couriers.

In what format do I get stills photography?

These are delivered in the standard jpg format. This is the best format for photographs there is. If the photo is for website use, we usually set the compression between 50% to 80% based on your preference for file size versus quality. If the photo is for print we will supply at the maximum quality of 100%.

In what format do I get 360 degree product photography?

These are delivered in Flash file format, a format available to over 97% of Internet connected PC’s. These files are easily added to your website and we provide a full integration package and instructions.

How easy is it to integrate 360 degree product photography into my website?

We have developed detailed instructions and an integration package of web files. In most cases an experienced website developer can get these files working within approximately 20 minutes.

I don’t want my competitors seeing who has done my photography. On the 360 degree product photography your logo is displayed, can this be removed?

Yes, at an additional cost. In order to remove the logo, or replace the logo with your own, we can do this but it requires additional development time. We recommend that if you would like this to be done that we do it from the outset. It is a one-off charge.

How and when do I have to pay for the photography?

Once we receive your products onsite we will raise an invoice for 50% of the order value. Upon completion of the photography we will raise the final invoice for the remaining 50% of the order. Before we release any photographic files we require the photography to be paid for in full. This is usually taken by credit card prior to enabling the files to be made available for download. In some cases other payment methods can be arranged such as direct bank transfer or cheque.
